University Family Medicine Center doctors are active in developing quality treatments and innovative approaches in medicine. As medical providers, our staff recognizes the importance of also being a good partner to the Pueblo and Southern Colorado communities we reside in.
Good health comes through great healthcare, but is also supported by the great vision of community and people helping people. Because of that, our providers stay active in many ways throughout our communities, giving back and also educating citizens through Pueblo County and Southern Colorado on ways they can continue to be the best source of healthcare for themselves.
Pueblo County Diabetes Care: Our providers are passionate about community issues like diabetes and often offer their time as a part of the Pueblo’s Diabetes project or various health fairs to educate and assist in defeating the growth of that disease on Southern Colorado.
Southern Colorado Sports Physicals: Because of our belief in preventative medicine and wellness care and Southern Colorado’s high interest in youth athletics, our providers have offered free athletic screenings for high schools throughout Pueblo County to ensure success, growth and development of the area’s maturing children.
Medicine in Southern Colorado Businesses /Wellness Programs: As preventative care becomes more widely practiced, businesses in Southern Colorado are looking toward practitioners like UFMC to help guide them in their development of wellness programs. As an active member of the Pueblo Chamber of Commerce and participants in various boards throughout the community, our practitioners stand to offer a wealth of advice and experience in aiding the development of those resources.
